Ivory Cane Palm - Pinanga Coronata / Kuhlii- Very attractive, medium sized clumping palm from the Indonesian islands of Java and Sumatra. Can grow to around 3-6 meters tall, slim, ringed green trunk with feather shaped leaves. It will produce multiple ivory canes but remains in a nice clump.

The Australian Fan Palm is one of Australia's most beautiful native palms. It originates from the North Queensland Rainforests, from north of Townsville to Cape York. The Australian Fan Palm has very large round fan leaves and is best grown in a shady spot. Leaves will be greener in deeper shade but does need some light to grow. Beautiful tropical foliage plant from the Ginger family which grows to just over 1/2 a meter tall. It has underground rhizomes which look a bit like a set of keys, or a bunch of funny shaped carrots. Leaves are a very nice light green. Foliage tends to be more dark green in a shady position. Flowers are pink to white. Rhizomes, young leaves and shoots are edible, and can be used in salads, pickles, soups etc. It can be eaten raw but is also used in cooking.

Grows up to 2 meters + the ginger likes rich organic soil in a moist well drained position and will tolerate dry conditions once established, can also be grown in a container but not as an indoor plant.
