The lovely purple red underside of the leaf really sets it off.
Growing Calathea plants
This plant is very easy to grow. Provide a shady position, well draining soil with plenty of water, be very gentle on fertiliser to prevent leaf burn. Calathea prefers a humid environment and you should avoid exposing it to cold dry air.
Don’t put Calathea in direct sunlight, because those beautiful green spots will fade. An indoor patio or near a window that doesn’t have the sun directly facing it would be ideal
