Growing Australian Fan Palm

It is one of the more cold tolerant Licualas, but still not frost tolerant. It is spectacular when in fruit with lots of seed berries that stand out amongst the green foliage. This palm is best grown in a shady position, in moist, fertile soil. It benefits from regular mulching. Fertilize it regularly with a complete slow release fertilizer  liquid fertilizer (while it's small and you can still reach it) or an organic fertilizer  It is a great palm for pots & containers, indoors and on verandas  Keep it well watered, especially during warmer weather in spring and summer.
